What is NUBLOQ?
NUBLOQ is a modular platform born from Grupo SURA, designed to offer highly secure APIs that comply with global standards. It is based on the UK open banking model and provides an easy-to-use environment where banks, financial institutions and fintechs can collaborate, connect and create new financial products and services.
Getting into visual creativity
Working on Nubloq was an exciting and stimulating challenge. The goal was to build an engaging and interesting one-page website with vibrant and eye-catching illustrations inspired by instruction manuals, posters and simple elements. I designed a set of unique illustrations with shapes, lines and cuts that broke with convention and sought to go outside the box. Although I received a style manual, I had the opportunity to propose ideas and explore different approaches to art direction, which really helped me explore my taste in this area. As a team, we worked closely with the SURA group designer, who provided guidance and feedback on the designs. The main challenge was to achieve consistency in this creation and to make sure it was modern, eye-catching and unique. It had to reflect technology, without being too obvious. The result was a cohesive and attractive website where all the elements resonated with each other. It was a challenging experience that allowed me to demonstrate my creativity by stepping out of my comfort zone in creating interfaces and immersing myself in the visual world of illustrations, where each image told a story and conveyed a message.

Creating hierarchies in illustration: visual storytelling
Another interesting element was to create layers of illustration design. They started from the simplest, icons that had certain line strokes, then simple illustrations to more complex visualizations called pictograms. In pictograms it was necessary to show a concrete action and to join different elements to create a **playful and recognizable composition for the user.
The visual storytelling in the illustrations allowed visual hierarchies to be established, guiding the user through a visually appealing narrative. Each element of the illustration had a purpose and contributed to the overall story being told.

Enabling financial services of the future: closer and more inclusive designs
The challenge of building a comprehensive ecosystem and a competitive collaboration platform for financial solution creators was undoubtedly complex. Not only did we have to satisfy user needs, but also transform complex banking concepts into something playful, engaging and tangible.
My goal was to bring the financial services of the future to a wider audience and ensure the inclusion of all users. To achieve this, making the designs accessible and understandable to people of different levels of financial knowledge and experience was crucial and indispensable.
In short, our work consisted of enabling financial services through inclusive, accessible designs. Overcoming the challenge of turning complex concepts into something playful and tangible, giving users an experience in which they felt comfortable and empowered to make informed financial decisions.
