DRAGONFLY, the joy of cycling

Bringing a revolutionary perspective to the world of electric bikes.

Introduction:

Dragonfly is a concept app for second-hand customizable e-bikes — designed to make sustainable urban mobility personal, social, and fun. The core insight: most bike apps focus on logistics. Dragonfly focuses on identity. Riders don't just want to get from A to B — they want a bike that feels like theirs.

Scope: End-to-end UX/UI — user research, competitor analysis, personas, user flows, wireframing, visual design, interactive prototyping, and accessibility review.

The market is full of bike brands focused on performance and professionalism. Dragonfly takes a different angle: a second-hand sustainable e-bike platform where riders customize their bike to reflect their personal style — and earn rewards for riding. The product sits at the intersection of sustainability, self-expression, and community.

The values

We strive to cultivate a sense of joy and fun in our daily lives by embracing playfulness, creativity, and curiosity. Our approach is dynamic and vibrant, with the goal of encouraging more people to choose e-bikes over cars as a means of reducing gas emissions.

Crafting a unique identity

When brands provide personalized experiences, 80% of users are more likely to buy something. Epsilon’s Digital Transformation study, 2020.

In the realm of electric bikes, Dragonfly stands out as a symbol of innovation and personalization.Dragonfly isn’t just about wheels; it's about expressing individuality. I see each Dragonfly e-bike as a work of art waiting to be shaped. The joy of reinvention is handed over to riders, making every journey a unique expression of their personality and style.

Seamless connectivity for effortless rides

The Dragonfly app connects riders with their bike through real-time data, personalized route suggestions, and a community layer. The onboarding flow uses a preference quiz to recommend the right bike before purchase — reducing decision friction and increasing personalization from the first interaction.

Sustainability as a design principle

Sustainability isn't a feature — it's embedded in the product model. Second-hand bikes, eco-conscious materials, and a rewards system that incentivizes riding over driving are all product decisions that reinforce the same value: moving responsibly.

Iteration & feedback loops

The product is designed to evolve with its riders. Feedback mechanisms and community-driven insights inform future iterations — keeping Dragonfly relevant as urban mobility continues to shift.
